For the third year in a row, CRN honored Senet as one of the “10 Coolest IoT Companies”

We’re excited to announce that CRN has named Senet to its 2021 Internet of Things 50 list! The annual list recognizes IoT vendors for their groundbreaking IoT offerings in hardware, software, connectivity, industrial and security, and Senet’s market leadership momentum has continued by being featured on the list for the third consecutive year.

This year, Senet was chosen as one of the “Top 10 Coolest IoT Connectivity Companies “a category introduced last year to highlight companies that are racing to create new capabilities that connect devices to networks and share data. CRN recognized Senet because of our patented Low Power Wide Area Virtual Network and its ability to connect “network operators, application providers and RAN provider networks under a cooperative model.”

CRN also lauded the reach of Senet’s network and device partner ecosystem, mentioning we now have coverage in more than 80 countries and over 200 partner devices now certified as we continue to support essential use cases, such as utilities, industrial, enterprise and other use cases that require organizations to scale beyond non-carrier-grade networks.

As one example, over the past two years, Senet has designed, constructed, and operated smart meter networks for municipal water utility districts across North America, representing millions of households. These dense LoRaWAN networks allow utilities to reimagine how they can support a variety of water infrastructure and municipal applications on top of their initial AMI deployment, rather than having to deploy and maintain individual networks and manage device communication protocols for each use case. This is enabling utilities and municipalities to evolve service delivery beyond what was previously possible, and unlock the potential of smart city initiatives.

Senet also recently embarked on a number of initiatives to improve natural gas safety, such as partnering with Lorax Systems to add carrier-grade LoRaWAN connectivity to Lorax’s shut-off valves and cost-effectively enable utilities to scale deployments of intelligent safety solutions. The recent partnership builds on previous collaborations with several natural gas leak detection solutions and utility providers to advance LoRaWAN’s capabilities for the utility industry.

“The 2021 CRN® IoT 50 list honors industry-leading vendors for their next-level products and services that seamlessly link a variety of objects and devices with complex infrastructures, capabilities, and data analytics to support remote workforces and new ways of connecting,” said Blaine Raddon, CEO of The Channel Company. “CRN is proud to recognize these vendors for their hard work in improving operations and transforming businesses through cutting-edge offerings.”

The annual list is voted on by a panel of distinguished CRN editors, featuring insight from industry-leading solution providers, and examining the quality of the vendors’ technology portfolios, their IT channel influence, and their effectiveness to invoke transformation and advancement in the industry through innovation. This year’s list is featured in the April issue of CRN Magazine and online.
